I specialize in development of original work. I am passionate about stories about immigrants, bilingualism, womanhood and history
I care deeply about representation and emotional safety. I approach art with a healing and celebratory lens.
It is my priority to ensure that any project/process I lead is a nurturing, and stimulating environment, for all collaborators involved.
I present stories through intimate and sensorial productions. I enjoy building stylized worlds saturated in design, featuring movement, cinematic lighting, and live music (whenever I can).
My work has been presented all over New York, at laMama, NYU Espacio de Cultura, The Connelly Theater, Out of the Box Theatrics, Ars Nova, Brooklyn Art Haus, The Tank, Alchemical Theater, Dixon Place, IATI Theater, and at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theater (Denver, CO), and El Bastion (San Juan, PR), to name a few.
“Building My Casa” by Braulio Brasilio
Produced by Teatro 220 at LaMama Downstairs Theater, January 23 – February 2, 2025
Three immigrants from different parts of Latin America share a small apartment in NYC. On their hidden rooftop, they discover the farewell letter from Antonio, a former tenant.
On that rooftop, they try to find solace while navigating the physically and psychologically taxing city that is New York. A city that consumes people’s lives and feels completely lonely despite being full of people from all over the world.
A play about identity, failure, memory, and the alienation that many Latin immigrants face. Featuring improv, music, magic and maybe a cat…

"At the Barricades" is a new experimental documentary theater play that examines the international volunteers who traveled to Spain between 1936-1939 to fight against Fascism in the Spanish Civil War. Inspired by true stories of those who traveled to Spain in 1937 to join the anti-Facist forces as a framing, this play explores the integrated Lincoln Battalion to unpack the nature of resistance and solidarity. This unit fought alongside a range of foreign comrades in Spain in an international crusade against authoritarianism.

"At the Barricades" was made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the New York State Legislature and administered by Brooklyn Arts Council.
Sabina (Sofia Dobrushin) and Christina (Catherine Bloom), two semi-estranged half-siblings, have just received the devastating news that their father is sick with an ambiguous illness. After traveling home to care for him, both grapple with reverting to childhood behaviors while processing their own latest traumas: Sabina is polyamorous and married in Bushwick, and Christina is an RA at her all-girls college, Barn-Yard. While cleaning their father’s home and stumbling upon relics from their childhood- aka- a copy of the American Girl Doll puberty manifesto, “The Care And Keeping Of You,” they reveal to themselves and each other all the things they wish they had known about growing up.

This sensorial play is a community-based experiment, exploring the experience of international women living in New York City. Investigating themes of language, cultural expression, and familial separation, this piece invites audiences to consider what it means to exist between places called "home".

John, Clara, Ron, Lara, Don, Tara, Sean and Sarah are four couples who like to discuss important issues such as global warming, planned parenthood or starvation in Africa. Or do they? They might have more urgent things going on. Some might say they’re in competition, but they would surely disagree with that, because they’re very good friends! Halfway through the night, Tara disappears. Will they find her? And what is that sound, anyway?

Three women, the Moire, are responsible for each individual's life, represented by a string. Sýrma is a short play set in this kind of universe, where everyone has the illusion of being a decision-maker, while in reality, they are unable to choose their destiny. Everyone, except for one young woman. Sýrma, a unique contemporary myth, inspired by greek mythology and Dante's Divine Comedy.
